Every month you'll receive a 12oz bag of whole bean coffee intended for espresso applications.
I tend to favor a balance of brightness with strong chocolatey notes in a 60/40 ratio. I also like beans that have a lot of aromatic/spice notes as they pair well with steamed milk and stay intact under high pressure brewing.
Often a bean does well for espresso when you take the same bean, and blend two opposing roast curves in the final blend. So while it still remains a single origin, two roast profiles help balance the tension between sweetness, acidity, and solubility.
That isn't to say I don't like blends when it comes to espressos either.
Blends can be incredible.
Since the majority of coffees I drink are espresso based, this is a fun way to keep something out of the box on your coffee bar every month.
Last but not least please DM me on Instagram if you have a question about espresso extractions, ratios, flow rates, grind size etc.
Coffee is fun and roasters shouldn't live in glass castles.
