Single Origin Espressos tend to be less forgiving than blends.
However, I do think they are worth the extra work "dialing in" on your bar and this one is friendly despite being a Single Origin.
This coffee comes from from Finca Las Montañas which is in the Tarrazú region of Costa Rica. It's bright and complex but has very "pulled back" acidity that stays mild through high temp/pressure extractions.
In this profile, it's got a lot of chocolate crema notes with a slight bend towards almond butter and brown sugar. It reminds me of a campfire s'more when you make a cappuccino. Oat milk pairs well as do other plant based milks.
Happily serve it to guests that aren't as obsessed about coffee as you. It's a crowd pleaser for all types of palates and I think thats a nice thing to always have on the bar.
